She made her mark, but lost her spark...and what she's pushing for she can't remember.
She got lost into the dream of surrender,
she got swept back into a world of dark hopes.
Come another night, will she ever feel the same?

A photo I scanned at dad's office. Just submitting an old photograph or two to stimulate the muses.
I think it was taken at Bobbin's Head in Sydney. That was a lovely place to go to...
Another one of the more emotion-based photos, it's not so much about the colour or composition, but more what I feel when I look at it. It's the closest I can get to capturing a feeling, a flash of nostalgia on film.
My trusty Olympus IS-300 did the job. Although I have no idea why it says HP...most likely the scanner.
The hp is the scanner
wow and i thought u said u were in a creative rut...
=.=''
ur creative rut's are like several magnitudes above my peaks lol
sticking on faves aaand my background (something more beautiful than the pic of Lindsay Lohan umm it's a compliment for me lol)
The whiteness is overpowering it's really amazing, and the way the colours turned out...the sky has a sorta watercolour effect, actually the whole picture seems to which is really unique. The black railing in the foreground is a really nice effect, it's like the contrast, not only with the light and dark but like the natural scene in the background and this black menace of modernity in the foreground. It makes me think of a book cover for some reason...or that may just be me. and the way it darkens at the edges..i dunno it just sorta drags me into the picture...
it also has a rather melancholy air to it for me...im not sure why...just seems a little sad...
tho that may be ur really nice prose bit
well niiice work as always, i like your emotional work more than the work that's purely for art. I mean the artistic work is nice but it has a more detached clinical air to it. emotional work is more...like how you percieve the world and it's like more enticing for it. Besides what is art but the striving to capture emotions feelings thoughts into a tangible form. Art the science is nowhere near as captivating as well the art of art.

The sunlight and the blue tones of the sky and the sea help provide a sense of serenity. Great choice of location too! I like it.
